NEW! Work on Words Intensive Training
The Power of your Work is the Power of Your Words _____________________________________________
To Those Whose Work Makes A Difference in the World:
Your life-changing, world-shaking ideas and approaches can fundamentally shift how your clients see themselves, experience their lives, and understand their place in the world. Whether you are a coach, a consultant, a healer, a spiritual teacher, or an expert with an innovative approach, you may feel resigned to struggling to find good words. You may say to yourself things like:
- Words can’t really express what it is I offer!
- You have to experience what I do to understand it.
- People will be turned off if I talk about the spiritual aspect of my work.
- The world isn’t ready for me and my ideas.
You may have tried to use traditional copywriting strategies, only to lose the heart of your message. Or you just say what you want to say in the moment, and hope that your words hit the mark. Either way, you know deep down that your words aren’t accurately conveying the power and scope of the work you do, and that you are holding back from putting your work out there because you feel self-conscious about what to say.
And that self-consciousness can color every aspect of your business: costing you business, just-right clients, and even the dream of making a living doing the work you love. Without a clear path for finding the right words, you may be spending hours trying to refine your language and simply end up going in circles.
Are You Missing the Key Step?
As a small business owner, you need good words to put your work out into the world. Your words make the case for your services, and move people to buy, and to buy now.
But you can get messed up because no one’s told you HOW to translate the deep meaning and intangible value of your work into words that work. If you are selling something straightforward – clothing, hair cutting, how-to information – then it doesn’t take much effort or creativity to get across the WHAT of what you are offering.
But, for this new kind of businesses – the ones that offer personal and spiritual growth, or a radical new way of living and working – going right to bottom-line benefits leaves out the real story! You need words to paint a vivid picture of what you see is possible for your clients. You need language to make what you offer feel tangible. You need a story that resonates deeply for both you and your audience.
And that’s not copywriting, that’s the art of developing your message.
Message development is the deeper work of digging inside yourself and your life story, for the words, images and feelings that make that profound message come to life. It’s about finding words and metaphors to express the common thread that ties all the best work you’ve done together. It’s about finding the language inside of you that touches hearts, stirs feelings, and expresses the powerful change that you want most for people.
If you focus on writing sales copy, before you’ve fleshed out the story you are here to tell, your words will always fall flat. Develop your powerful message and the words to say it, and copy writing becomes the skill of adding the selling touches to your already powerful message.
Support Your Own Transformation
As you make conscious choices connecting your words to the deeper meaning they hold for you, you will be transformed. As you sort through the words and ask yourself important questions about the message you are here to share, you will come face-to-face with all the internal barriers, doubts, and beliefs that have limited your ability to put yourself and your work forward and have the opportunity to move through them. You will gain incredible clarity about what it is you have to offer, and emerge more confident in your ability to express yourself and make a living doing what you love.
According to the clients who have been through this internal and external process, developing your communication makes so many aspects of being in business so much more fulfilling, including:
1. Writing and Talking About Your Work Gets Easier and More Fun
Instead of being hesitant or uncomfortable to speak up, you’ll be ready, eager even, to grab any chance to write and talk about what you do. One of my clients said that after hearing an expert on retirement on the radio, she sat down and quickly wrote him a letter by reviewing and selecting from the material she’d developed in class. “Six months ago, I would have never have written him. I would have sat down, then given up because I didn’t know what to say.”
2. Your Words Keep You Connected to Your Passion and Excitement About What You Offer
Your energy is a big part of selling your services. When your words remind you daily of what you are here to do, in the biggest sense of the word, your excitement and enthusiasm become contagious. That energy is essential to keep you moving and taking action to develop your business and get your message out into the world.
3. You Are More Confident and Willing to Step Out and Be Seen and Heard
When you are confident you can write and speak and be heard, you feel much more confident about saying yes to all the opportunities that come your way. You’ll say yes to a speech, to drafting an article, to meeting with a center of influence.
4. Your Audience Responds More Passionately to What You Have to Share
When you get to that sweet spot of expressing the deepest and most profound message you are here to share, people respond. More and more people will grasp what you do quickly. And more and more will be drawn to learn more because the ideas you express will touch their hearts and stir their souls. You’ll find it easier to make alliances with other professionals because they will get that you know what you are talking about.
5. You Attract More of the Right Kind of Clients
When you can say exactly what it is you are here to offer, you naturally draw to you the people who share your values, and gently dissuade the one who won’t give you permission to do your best work.
6. You Do Better Work – Really!
This one surprised me, but more and more of my clients started telling me they were doing better work with their clients because they were so clear about what they were doing, and where they were in their own process!
7. You Make More Money Doing the Work You Love
While good communication alone won’t make you a better businessperson, it does make all aspects of doing business easier and more effective. As you step out more boldly, express yourself with more passion, and attract more people who respond passionately to you, it follows naturally that you will make more money doing the work you truly believe you are here to do. And what could be better than that?
Develop Your Message with the Work on Words Training
Our Work on Words Training is the only training that guides you step-by-step through the process of developing just the right words to express your message, and then integrating and applying that language throughout your business.
Work in an Intimate Group from the Comfort of Your Home
In our WOW Training, you meet weekly with an intimate group of no more than 6 other like-minded business owners to learn each step and technique for bringing your words into focus.
Plus, you get detailed personal feedback from your instructor on every piece of fieldwork that you submit in writing. You won’t fall between the cracks the way you might in one of those big “cattle call” teleclasses where you have no personal contact with your instructor and no system in place to make sure your work is on track.
Four Phases to Developing Your Communication Skills
You’ll start with Words for Yourself. First, you will develop the True Spirit of your Work: the specific outcome you love to deliver that’s been a theme throughout your life written in words that make you come alive. And, you’ll find a way to capture your logic, process or philosophy in a limited number of elements.
You’ll move on to Words for Your Audience. Second, you’ll explore how to make the essence of your work relevant to your audience. You’ll learn four specific verbal formulas designed to bridge any gap between you and your audience’s point of view. These mini-messages form great talking points for talks, articles, and proposals. Then, you’ll take on the challenge of weaving everything you’ve developed so far into one cohesive story, a sequence of ideas that flows together and leaves your audience with a full body impression of what you offer and why it matters. You’ve now completed the language development portion of the program.
You’ll continue with Words for Your Business. Third, you’ll tackle the question of how, on a practical basis, you will bring your work to the world. We’ll explore three critical communication areas including how you plan to position yourself and your work (from your internal conversation to your business name and introduction), how you plan to deliver your work to the world through programs, products, and services, and how you plan to introduce the world to your work through educational and marketing efforts. You’ll have the chance to make the strategic choices that will support your forward momentum and clarify where to focus the development of new tools for your business.
Finally, you’ll choose two of our Practical Application classes. Now that you know which tools are most important to develop to bring your work to the world. Your choice of classes includes:
- Crafting Your Web, Brochure, and Flyer Copy
- Introductions and Bios
- Promotional Talks and Teleclasses
- Sales Letters and Proposals
The Power of a Group
My graduates often tell me that the Work on Words Training was one of the best investments they ever made in their business. They said that even when they KNEW that there was a better way to think about their communication, and even though they KNEW some of the pieces they needed to write, they needed more help holding themselves to task for getting the writing done and have more support to put that new language to work in their business. They needed:
- Structure and accountability to do the deep reflection and writing they might otherwise “not find time” for.
- Guidance on how to navigate both the internal fears and doubts that come up as well as the technical fine points of each written piece
- Feedback that let them know when they were on track and when they were wandering off in the wrong direction
- Inspiration to keep honoring their yearning to bring out the deepest message they had to share instead of getting caught in the cycle of trying be what they thought the market wanted
- Reminders to honor the principles of vibrant communication
- Companionship so they know they aren’t alone on the journey
- Laughter so they don’t start taking themselves too seriously as they do this deeper work
And that’s exactly what you get when you participate in our upcoming Work on Words Intensive. Over the last six years of teaching the process, I love hearing how my clients have more clarity, feel more confident, and have more trust that there is an urgent need for what they bring to the world. And I also get excited when they tell me how:
- More clients are showing up, without any large or extravagant marketing efforts
- Clients are asking for exactly the services they want to offer
- They are converting more prospects than ever before
- Their incomes are growing
Finally, Move through the WOW Process Faster than Ever
Normally, the full sequence of the Work on Words Training takes 8 months*. For years, people have been saying they wished that it didn’t take so long. Well, I finally came up with a way that we could power through the training while still allowing integration time and giving our clients around the country the convenience of teleclass training.
So we are introducing this new Intensive format of our proven Work on Words Training for the first time ever this November! Take advantage of this unique opportunity to go through the Work on Words process in just 12 weeks (instead of 8 months)!

Here’s What Some of Our WOW Graduates Have to Say about their Experience
Isabel has helped me tremendously to clarify what I do, how I do it, and to explain it to people in ways that they understand. I've seen a significant increase in my business since I worked with her -- and I've tripled my income in one year's time. I feel that this increase is remarkably attributable to my work with Isabel.

I would like to express my deepest appreciation and gratitude for what we accomplished together through your Work on Words training. I used to be very shy - and a bit confused - about what it was that I was offering the world, and now I feel free to fully express myself. The result is that my business is rapidly expanding - (I picked up three new clients just in the last week!) - but best of all, I feel so much Joy in delivering my program to my clients! As I'm writing this, I feel tremendously excited about what the future is going to bring for me, my business, and all of the people in the world who will be affected by my work. I will be forever grateful for what you helped make possible for me.

Isabel, I just want to thank you for all the support you gave me during the Work on Words Training. I am now able to think very clearly about all that I represent and all that I offer. This has been the work of a lifetime, which is now finally coming to fruition. I am finally doing the work I was incarnated to do and I am doing it with clarity and joy. Thanks so much.

My expectation was that Isabel would help me to polish my "marketing language" for my business, but instead, what she helped me to do was create and craft my passion into words that move me FIRST, then we polished them so they would move my audience. I told Isabel several times during our work together that the return on my investment would have been worth it at twice the price.

The value of this work with Isabel is beyond measure . It not only boosts my business, but it has provided a jumpstart for all aspects of my life. I communicate much more clearly than ever before, people are hearing me and I feel so much more effective. This is on top of my list of valuable training investments. I’m not sure how I could move my business forward without it.

How long ago was it that we worked together? Almost 2 years ago? And every bit of what I wrote then is still true today and I have not had the inclination or need to change my language . How delightful that in this don't-blink-or-you'll-miss-something era I can rely on the solid work we did together and that it remains a foundational piece of my business, both internally and externally. You teach us how to find the words that rock the world...and that provides the rock to build a strong business foundation upon. With continued thanks and warmest wishes.

My practice has zoomed since we've been working together -- lots of clients with little apparent "work" on my part, all my ideal clients, all wanting what I really have to offer . I don't feel I have to compromise what I want to be delivering and I'm loving my work and clients again.
